Lily Agius Gallery presents a collective exhibition of oil paintings, drawings, photography and sculpture titled ‘Hover-Still’ at The Malta Society of Arts. Inspired by the poem Go Fishing by Ted Hughes, the artists offer an interpretation in their own distinctive styles.
Creating art is a process, borne from inspiration and imagination; the result is a way to relay those thoughts or memories, and perhaps also fears and dreams to others. Whilst also revealing their skill and freedom to express themselves, the artists communicate various perspectives of the poem – albeit subtly, but nonetheless bathed in its greater meaning of transience, fragility, and a higher state of consciousness.
